To ensure our feedback portal remains a productive and welcoming space for everyone, we maintain a set of community standards and moderation practices. This helps our team find the best ideas quickly and ensures that every user's voice is heard without being drowned out by noise.
1. Search Before You Post
Duplicate posts split the voting power. Before creating a new request, use the search bar to see if someone else has already shared the idea. If they have, add your vote and a comment to their thread instead of starting a new one.
2. Be Constructive, Not Just Critical
We welcome honest feedback, even if it’s tough to hear. However, please focus on the product and the workflow rather than the people behind it.
Do: "The current navigation requires too many clicks to get to the settings."
Don't: "The person who designed this menu doesn't know what they're doing."
3. Keep it Professional
This is a professional community. Please avoid profanity, ALL CAPS (which feels like shouting), and off-topic discussions.
🛠️ How We Moderate the Portal
Our moderation team actively manages the portal to keep it organized. Here is what happens behind the scenes:
Merging Duplicates
If we find two or more posts asking for the same thing, we will Merge them.
All votes and comments from the duplicate post are moved to the "Master" post.
You won't lose your vote! You’ll simply be redirected to the main discussion where the community's collective power is strongest.
Editing Titles for Clarity
Sometimes a great idea has a vague title like "Help!" or "Feature Suggestion." Our mods may rename your post to something more descriptive (e.g., "Add Bulk-Delete to the Inbox") so that other users can find it more easily in search results.
Moving Posts
If you post a bug report in the "Feature Request" section, we will move it to the correct category to ensure it gets seen by our Support and QA teams rather than our Product Designers.
Handling "Spam" or Low-Quality Posts
To keep the signal high, we will remove:
Duplicate posts that offer no new context.
Posts that are purely promotional or unrelated to the product.
Comments that consist only of "+1" (please use the Upvote button instead!).
🔄 The Moderation Workflow
When you submit a post, it typically follows this path:
Action | What it means for you |
Approved | Your post is live and visible for others to vote on. |
Merged | Your feedback is combined with a similar existing idea. |
Clarification Needed | A moderator has left a comment asking for more details before they can approve it. |
Archived | The post was a duplicate or did not meet community guidelines. |
Our Promise: Moderation is never about silencing your opinion. It is about organizing the noise so that your best ideas have the best chance of being built.
